What side effects to expect

Francisco D Gomes

1)  An Increase of energy circulating through out your body

2) A natural high

3) A tranquil happy feeling

4) Occasional tingling sensations throughout the body

5) Beads of sweat on forearms and/or forehead while exercising

6) Mild pain in joints or other parts of the body due to the unblocking of trapped energy. When the flow of energy is unblocked, the pain will go away.

7) If you have occasional body trembling in the beginning, it is because the energy traveling through your nervous system has increased. Once the nervous system gets accustomed to the increase  of energy, the trembling will go away. If this happens to you, take 3 deep breaths and tell your self to relax.

8) Heat in the Tan-Tien area.

9) One day a surge of energy will run through your body, relax and let the energy run its course.

*** If you ever get energy stuck in your head immediately rub the middle of the palm of your right hand over your navel in a clockwise motion for 21 times, then slide the palm of your hands down  from your Tan Tien to the front side of your left leg to the middle of the soles of your feet, imagine that energy is going from your Tan Tien down to the sole of your foot. Repeat with the  left palm  in a counter clockwise motion for 21 times and down the right leg to the middle of the sole of your foot. Then imagine that your soles are grounded to the center of the earth.

Don’t dwell on these changes, just be aware of them and go on. They are happening because of the increase of energy flowing  through out your body. They are normal reactions. The symptoms mentioned above will increase with time and numbers 6 & 7 will diminish in time. If there is any concern, contact your family Doctor or Acupuncturist.
